A Selection of the Fittest Explanations for the Nature of the World
Tim Guthrie is an Omaha-based multi-media visual artist and filmmaker. His work has been awarded multiple Independent Artist Fellowships (Distinguished Artist and Filmmaker) from the Nebraska Arts Council. He was also awarded Best Visual Artist, Best Show (x3), and Best New Media Artist (x4) by the OEA awards. His films have won numerous Best Documentary awards, a Humanitarian Award (GIFA), and other top awards, including in Wales, UK, Sweden, Bucharest, Sydney, Hiroshima, and Athens. Guthrie is a professor at Creighton University, and the holder of the Joella Cohen Endowed Chair in Journalism.
Guthrie conceived of and is the Director of the Museum of Alternative History. He collaborated with multiple artsts, including Davis Schneiderman (the lead writer) and Andi Olsen on the project.
